Market Music 2023

Our Music Application is open now through March 14!

This season, we are seeking musical performers that showcase music from the diverse cultures that live within Lents International and Kenton Farmers Market communities. For more information about these two neighborhood markets, please visit their respective pages.

We offer a compensation tier for performances based on number of performers, length of performance, event and performance type.

  • Solo Act - $100
  • Two to Three Performers - $175
  • Four or more Performers - $250

Our Lents International and Kenton Farmers Markets operate in historically diverse neighborhoods of Portland. We are interested in highlighting musical performances that showcase the vibrant cultures that exist in these communities.
Do you have your own sound equipment?*
Amplification is a delicate balance in our markets, each having different needs. At Lents International, performers may use amplification or play acoustically. In contrast, at Kenton, we do require amplification. We can provide a portable power station (BLUETTI AC180, 1800W, 1152Wh) and a PA system available for use. However, we encourage performers to use their own equipment whenever possible.

The market is open Wednesdays, 3 - 7 pm from Jun 5 thru Sept 24, 2025. Music performances are scheduled 5 - 7 pm.

Busking at the Market

Busking is permitted at PSU, Shemanski Park, and King Farmers Markets on a case-by-case basis.

Buskers must check in at the market information booth before performing.
